Just came across this video by Brian Wampler doing a quick and dirty demo of a recording technique called EQ matching. Looks like a pretty cool trick. Is anybody here using this technique? And if so, what specific software are you using to do it with?
I’ve played around with it using Izotope Ozone but not in a serious way that I’d apply during a mix session. It’s a cool concept for sure, just not one that I use in my studio business. I could see it being useful for session players who’ve been requested to nail the vibe of a specific reference.
