Equitable Pay for Horn Section

But since generally in the 4 band's I have been in with female vocalists they were the main reason we worked as steady as we did and I would gladly trade what would equate to maybe 15 minutes quicker set up tear down for the time they spend smoozing the club owners for more gigs and a raise. Hey, do that, and I'll lift an extra amp or two. Ain't no big thing.

Exactly. We always gave the female front person a pass because of what she brought to the band in terms of performance and marketing.

In some cases, this same mentality applies to things like a horn section. There is no sampled keyboard horns on earth that has the same impact as two or three guys swinging their brass on stage. It can be an excellent performance enhancer and marketing tool.
