Ernie Ball Classic Reissues With Slight Issue

Finally a SR5 that looks good. God I hate the weird normal pickguard.

But this is hella awesome. More than I ever dreamed of.

Yeah, this is why I'll probably end up buying one of these. I'm not nostalgic for slab bodies or two-band preamps, but I've always thought that acre-o-plastic guard on the SR5 is simply awful (I play one anyway, but really). The oval guard on a SR5 is sweet... and the way it always should have been, IMHO.

god, Sterling Ball is a genius at coming up with new models that are even more tantalizing than the last. There are at least 4 Ball basses I want really bad right now.
A sterling 5, a classic 5, a big Al 4 or 5, and a rosewood neck something or other. I would also really like to pick up a Dargie II with the ebony fboard.
Sure wish they would do a classic with the ebony. May not be period correct, but heck neither is them colors!
