Nevermind. I figured it out . Lack of sleep.Im not saying its a bad idea . Im asking what is it?

I bought a Special 4H from Sweetwater, and that single pickup, while sounding classic Stingray, wasn't deep enough for me. I swapped it (Sweetwater is awesome) for an identical 4HH and it is the shizz. This bass will pound a subwoofer.
Wish it had a 1.5" nut width, but I do just fine with the Special as-is.
So, you wouldn't say it lacks the low end compared to previous Stingrays, right? Just not enough low end for you without the neck pickup?
Thank god they don't. One of the reasons I love them is they don't have those skinny J necks.
My luthier, while working on a brand new Fender Jazz that was problematic from day one, told me that, if I wanted the best bass, buy a MM.I don't think there is an honest luthier in the world that would disagree.
