ESP LTD B-206 SM ?????

I was just wondering if this bass was worth owning or not, the neck looks a bit to thin for me, i play a warwick corvette standard 4-string and im gonna trade it for a 6-string. i was thinking the ESP LTD B-206 SM was a good trade. I know the quality of the warwick is much better but if this is a usable bass then it's worth it to me. so i'll get to my question, lol, i was wondering if anyone had used this bass and if they thought it was a usable bass, if i get it im gonna put Q-tuner or bartolini PU's in it and i might change the nut if need be. so if any one has used or owned this bass please let me know what you thought of it, points of intrest are the neck and the bridge!!! thanks.:bassist::rollno:

I've owned a B-206 for several years. It was made before they switched the body veneer to spalted maple.

The neck is thin, like the OP stated, but it has 2 truss rods to stiffen it. I haven't had any issues with the neck. Just seasonal tweaks, or if I change to different strings.

The nut was cut too deep on the B string when I bought it. Fixed that.

It still has the original pups, which were advertised at the time as EMG HZ, but they have the ESP logo and don't have the quick disconnect. I'm guessing they're EMG OEM units.

I replaced the preamp. It seemed voiced more for skinny-string than bass guitar.

IMO it's a decent bass for the price.

I just got this bass. Apparently they updated it heavily, since the body is now indonesian ash and a split maple top. It was spot on tune, perfect intonation, and I only lowered the action because that's what I do with my life ha ha. It weighs 5.2kg, so I don't know what "heavy" is apparently? It's actually lightweight considering the woods used. Pickups are NICE for stocks, and the EQ is good too. Very tonally versatile. Ok sustain and the frets are nice. Neck is smooth like GLASS, and fret's end nicely polished. Plays really nice, good punch and distinguishable low notes! Mids and his are not overdominant, wich I like. Nice smooth, snappy bass. I hope it will last me many years :-)
