Right, so the B204 is a swanky-ass bass which I intend on buying ever so soon, but I am confused by one thing, and that is the "fretless" version. The fretless version is around 10 quid more than the SM version, and yet it appears to be exactly the same - the pictures show it as having a standard neck with frets, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out with that one please... It doesn't have to be in relation to that specific model, that is just the only example I know and it obviously bares relevance to my situation. Thanks in advance!

The fretless version is just that, a fretless. The 'frets' in the photos are actually just lines on the fingerboard to help you work out roughly where to put your fingers to stay in tune. If you still have doubts, as it happens I'm ordering one tomorrow, and I can put up photos when it arrives if you want.
