Hello fellow bass players.
So I've been playing my trusty LTD F-104 for a few years now rocking the ESP designed SB-4B and SB-4N. From what I've heard, those pickups were designed based on an active EMG set. I mean, they are pretty solid with little to no noise. ESP seem to be so confident in them, that they put their own pickups in even their higher end models.
Also I've been wondering if it's worth upgrading them for EMG 35DCs. Is it worth it at all?
EDIT: I'm a metal guy. I play in the standart tuning plugging into an MXR M80 for some distortion and into a Hartke LH1000+Hydrive 410.
