I stopped by Barnes and Noble today to buy this magazine and they didn't have it. 
So I bought one of her CDs instead. I've seen her on youtube so I thought I knew what I was in for. Wrong! With a quality sound system you can really hear that amazing voice so much better, and of course her bassplaying blows away 90% of what I hear out there, and she makes it all seem so effortless.
And oh yeah, crazy hot too.

She's definitely one inspiring bassist and musician in general. Definitely one of the best interviews I've seen from BP in a while! Her versatility is astounding--I don't know how many artists can say they've released albums featuring jazz, latin and an interesting take on chamber music along. Not too mention she doubles, is an amazing singer, was the youngest teacher ever at Berklee at 20 years old and won a Grammy! Looking forward to seeing her in June when she hits the Ottawa JazzFest.

ha ha - definitely for the bass porn. That said, the Esperanza article was good and I am one of many in love with her. (Only in a fellow-bass-player kind of way, of course.)

Yeah - she is the real deal - the whole package. Remembering a Tom Hanks line from "Bosom Buddies" - "God sure did a little dance around her".
I am single and I HAVE made this my wall paper (along with about a dozen other great pics I have of her!).
The thing that gets me with her is that she sings and plays with such controlled abandon... You'd almost think there were two people... one singing and one playing. Such a total package.... I picked up the issue today. Haven't had the chance to read it though.
I have really enjoyed her music and I thought the article in Bassplayer was one of their best written in a while.
