ETS tuning-fork bridge and G string issue

Hi, I just got a new bass with the ETS Tuning-fork system.
I have no problems at all with other strings, but with the G string there's a point when even if I can still lower the saddle, the string will lean on the bridge instead of on the saddle.
I was thinking of filing the bridge where it is sitting the G string, so that I can finally get the action I need, would it be a very bad idea?
