My vast life experience (i.e, I'm a guy) tells me that if you do in fact use Eucerin, there's also a pretty good chance that you're jackin'!... Eucerin is king. If you use anything else, you're jackin'.

It helps to have dry skin so that I happen to have some E-magic lying around
If so, could you provide the proper application procedure?
" have dry skin so that I happen to have some E-magic lying around" -- That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
"Could you provide the proper application procedure?" -- I'm pretty sure that would violate TB Rules.
And yet, I believe in magic, like Geddy's 'unusual' Jazz pickups to Jaco having fried chicken before their historic '76 Montreux (KFC in Switzerland? I doubt it!).
Invalid Link RemovedI don't know about that. There are plenty of places I haven't been, but I've travelled in about 30 countries and have yet to find one that didn't have McDonalds and KFC!

Uh-oh, looks like I spoke too soon. KFC has only been in Switzerland since 2016.KFC‘s “Der Boxmaster” and “Der Boxmaster Maxx”
Can’t ya just hear the Swiss-German TV spots in your head, with Beavis and Butt-head doing the voiceover?!?!
Well, I guess Jaco’s legendary ‘76 Montreux tone will remain a mystery.Uh-oh, looks like I spoke too soon. KFC has only been in Switzerland since 2016.
KFC set to open new Swiss restaurants
Well there may not have been a KFC, but I think it's possible they had fried chicken. Besides, I think it's all BS anyway. I think Jaco was trying to be funny.Well, I guess Jaco’s legendary ‘76 Montreux tone will remain a mystery.

Haven't tried either. Cobalt flats sound like they won't be my thang, and I'm not paying $70 for a set of stringsI agree.
By any chance, have you tried the Eucerin treatment on EB Cobalt Flats? How about Pyramids? If so, I’d like to know how well it worked.
Based on reading hundreds of your posts over time, I don’t think Cobalt Flats would float your boat, but Pyramids are a different story. I wouldn’t pay $70 for strings either, but I’ve never paid more than $40-50 for Pyramids. I think you might really like them if you ever have the opportunity to pick them up at a good price.Haven't tried either. Ya, you need windings to make it work. I'd probably stop at 5. I've done as many as 5, and I don't get any improvement beyond 3 or 4.I have an issue with not knowing when to stop. I put 5 coats on my Fender Studio Bass Flats, and I think I’ve gone too far.
Still amazed how well this works. Put some on my acoustic strings....sounds woody and thumpy (the plain steel sounds unaffected).
Nothing else even comes close for deadening flats. Eucerin Aquaphor does OK at it, but it's only OK. And forget the other medicated formulas. Plain white Eucerin cream is the ticket for making your new flats thumpy quickly.
I'm at a gig right now and it's hard for me to do stuff like that there but I'll do it when I get home.OK, I just went to the store to buy some Eucerin cream. I was surprised to find that plain old Eucerin original moisturizing cream is no longer available.
Now they have 10 (or more) different formulas... including "Original Healing" (cream, lotion), "Advanced Repair" (lotion, cream, hand cream), "Daily Hydration" (lotion, cream, hand cream), "Skin Calming" (cream, lotion), etc. etc. etc.!!
AND, not only do all of these have different ingredients listed, NONE of them have the same ingredients as the Original Eucerin moisturizing cream!
The new "Original Healing Cream" has very different ingredients from the older "Original Moisturizing Cream" that is no longer available (go figure...).
Also, most of these products are $10 to $20 for a container.
So, I was wondering if you would be willing to post some pictures (front and back, with ingredients) of the container of "plain white Eucerin cream" you are using and recommending? Then I could find a product (like Minerin cream?) that is close to what you have.
Thanks!!
I need to do some research on this. All this time, I thought I was doing my strings with this stuff:OK, I just went to the store to buy some Eucerin cream. I was surprised to find that plain old Eucerin original moisturizing cream is no longer available.
