Black nylonwounds are not actually the same price range. Gollihur site, click on options, and the ~$59 price is actually for a spirocore stark d string.
Whoa, you're right. How weird is that? I may alert him (his son, now) & try in find out whats up... still wonder if they are same as or different from "white" ones..
The black tapewounds we stock are the alternate model that use Tungsten Steel (they make a version using the same steel as the white tapewounds too, but we don't currently stock them) which is what accounts for the price difference.
Thx for clarifying Mark, & for fixing the drop-down menu. What does the tungsten do for their feel/sound? More firm/less slap-friendly? Similar volume?
