EV ZXA1/ZXA1 Sub vs QSC K12

This may sound off the wall, but I'm looking for opinions:

How would a pair of the EV ZXA1/ZXA1 sub compare to a pair of QSC K12s (no subs)?

I know that the K12s with a K-Sub or KW121 would blow the EV away, but that's not my intention. Right now I use a pair of K12s with my band in small rooms only. Normally we hire out the sound. I'm just wondering if the EV solution would be more flexible and offer a bit more full-range sound.

I currently own 4 of the EV subs and use them with QSC K10.2 tops. Previously K10 and K12 tops. I like the EV subs. They won't kick in your ribs but the size, weight and cost make them ideal for me. I can choose how many I need for each gig.

I have owned K212 subs and a KW181 sub and never liked them plus they are heavy.
