Hi All,

I currently have an Eventide Pitchfactor. I am using a Tech 21 Midi mouse to select presets and a EB VP JR as an exp pedal.

I have a ModFactor on it's way and would like to use the Tech 21 and the VP JR to control both. I would also like to add a tap tempo switch to control both tempos.

My question is this... can I use the Midi Clock from the PF to control the tempo of the MF. From what I understand I have to set the PF to midi thru to use the Midi Mouse on both the PF and MF. This means I cannot output the Midi Clock from the PF?

A simple fix would be to buy a tap tempo with 2 outputs, which I will do if required but don't want to if I can get away with using a smaller single output tap tempo switch.

Am I making any sense at all? Has anyone had experience using a Midi Mouse with multiple Factor pedals?

I don't have a Midi Mouse, but I do use Midi with the Time and Modfactors.

Yep, If you'd like to use the clock from the PF to the Mod, the PF has to be set on Midi out.

If your PF is set to thru (to use it with your Tech 21), then it won't transmit Midi Clock or expression control.

I'm having a similar issue since I want both factors synched to the clock from a Boss RC-50 BUT I'd like the expression and preset switching controlled by 1 of each. I bought this for the channel switching:

which you can use for tap tempo (for both units) and other things like the brake feature on the Modfactor.

Just be aware that Dan at This1smyne has been having some issues with some of his custom work and that may be affecting completion of his standard offerings.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't even thought of issues using 1 expression pedal. Looks like I might be selling the midi mouse and getting an aux switch. It's a shame cos the midi mouse is good to use.

Hmmm. I've been looking at midi merge units. Perhaps this is the solution.
