Ever Break your equipment on Stage?

As far as stuff breaking on me...

There's the occassional cord farting out- there's the blown speaker making a lot of noise (minimized by putting duck tape on the grille above the offending speaker so the other 3 were much more audible).

But the worst is my amp going into thermal shutdown. Its infuriating and embarrassing. It's not as if the stage sound goes- if you're running the amp's DI- it ALL goes.

I hope that's a thing of the past.

I blew out both speakers on my Eden XLT-210 extension cabinet. Drop C tuning + 7 string bass is not good for speakers.

My SWR STUDIO220 often decides to snap, crackle and pop if not used constantly. Needs new pots and jacks. I seldom use that head anyway.

Why does EVERY Gibson break in that exact same spot?

In fact every one piece mahogany neck with angled headstock breaks like that, not just Gibsons. Gibson had a neck volute in the early 70's to prevent that, but AFAIK people didn't like that.

Almost very Gibson that I have or has passed through my hands have had that break, the voluted early 70's LP Custom just a crack.

had a medium sized gig 4 years ago , my first time playing some muse songs. I brought my Digitech BP200 (for some fuzz tones). On the 3rd song, where I need it most, the electicity on stage went crazy. I didn't have any power conditioner (didn't know what that for, at the moment).

the presets just went.... blank...

panic, I just unhooked it, and go direct to the amp instead. clean sound, that is.

we had to change the playlist instantly. needless to say, I learn something that night.
