I can’t post the screenshots here because I would be banned / suspended for breaking TOS — pretty easy to find on Facebook. Lots of nasty stuff to peruse, including email replies.
Fuller has been a jerk for years and is known for (and takes pride) in being a difficult person. Not trying to sell you anything here- form your own opinion or not.
I’ve written off quite a few brands who have switched from being a high quality, respected maker, and change to making cheaper, lower quality copies of the same gear. Especially when they call the gear by the same name as the previous models. Many times this is because they’ve sold the company to someone else, along with the name of the company and the model names.
I've been GASing for a Thump but your comments about headroom are making me reconsider. I guess it's better for my wallet to not just blindly buy what Tim Lefebvre uses and expect that to work out every time.
And went bankrupt, and restructured/restarted, with the original owner starting a new company to pursue his/her dreams... So true.
Not sure what I was supposed to be looking for that pertains to the product. I just saw typical ignorant rants followed by damage control.
The only reason I ever had interest in Fulltone is because Billy Gould once said that with a Fulltone Bass Drive he can play through any rig and have his tone. Other than that I'm fine without Fulltone

I do love it on, say, my Allan Woody Epiphone "rumblecat", it's actually what the doctor ordered, that bass is low output and with a built in scoop and can Use some uppermid brightness or lowmid subtraction, and it does Not overdrive the thing. The Thump. lets see, maybe my Dan Electro longhorn, Korean. But Not my Schecter CV5 which while is passive is too darn hot. Hope they allow darn around here. (good they do) also my Epiphone Jack Casady, too darn hot. But it's pu is special and the bass is very efficient, just too good. I like the VT pedal better or even TC Spark Booster for these modern high output basses.

I have had an Eventide H9 for a while and it has been on my board the entire time. Well I was going to do some patch editing and move some around using my computer and when I went to plug in the power supply the entire jack inside Broke off and the pin is stuck in the power supply. Sending it back to Eventide telling them to shove it I don't want that piece of junk back. Never buying Eventide again if this is how reliable they are.
I saw that interview as well! But it was a long time ago and I found much better options to get that clank and grunt now.
Never written off an entire brand, but have definitely written off a specific type of pedal. Digital effects. I'll use digital for delay but that's it. I just can't make the digital stuff work for me - all those menus and presets and such make my head spin. So yeah, I'm missing out on cool stuff from great brands like Source Audio. But there's nothing like plugging in my analog octave -> fuzz -> filter, a few knob twists, and instant space tuba.
Not because the one pedal broke. Because they charge 700.00 for an H9 MAX and it is made with cheap junk. My older H9 Has a much more robustly made power connector.
On behalf of Eventide I'd like apologize for your experience. I can attest to the fact that we've made thousands of H9s and the problem of a power supply cord snapping inside is something I've yet to encounter. We take pride in the quality of our hardware and understand that demanding musicians need reliability and consistent sound quality. Unfortunately, your experience has been different and for that all we can do is apologize and try to make it right. Feel free to PM me.
And an update . I was quire upset as evidenced by my previous anti Eventide Rant. Days have gone by and Much reflection done on my comments. First and foremost Eventide has reached out with a solution and the pedal is on it's way back to be repaired. Second I have not ever gone off on a brand before that did not deserve it. I never gave them a chance to make it right and I should have before posting on the net about them.. And as I said my older unit has had no such issue. So ifn rhis works out as I now expect it to All will be right with the world. Just needed to set the record straight.
