Everyone's downsizing these days..

I'm still upsizing. Going to build a sunn 215 coming up soon. 48x30x15 or so.......

And to trunkshope, someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but by slaving they are taking an amp, and putting it into a slave amp,l which is basically an additional, or bigger, power amp, so they can use one head to control tone and all that, and power more cabs than that one head could do on its own.

2nd thing I said was "I guess it's given with the technology out there"

I see and FEEL the light man. There's noiiiice rigs out there that are so compact and loud- I agree. And you bring up good points.

But show me a rig that's smaller and louder then my GBE 1200 into my Uber 810 and I'll send you a cheque.

I'd prefer a bank draft.
:smug:

A pretty low blow though the other guy drug the fish in first.

I think it's kind of funny.

Lets see I went the lightweight route because I'm old, fat, and recovering from spinal surgery (last year).

The more weight I lift the more I hurt afterwards. The lightweight rigs have brought a smile to my face and I can still be loud.

honestly, my last two experiences with the heavy stuff have got me rethinking this whole upsizing thing. i slipped on an icy sidewalk last night and my b-15n almost fell off a curb. and the last time i used my svt/810 i pinched a finger really good and also nearly dropped the 810.

at times like those, my lmii into a fEarful 12/6 is sounding better and better to me ;) i'm not entirely ready to make the move, but i'm getting there.

I can see that. But if done right there's no need/reason to have a bad back because of gear IMO.Never been to a place were there wasnt a hand to help out.We always tag team our gear-cuts the weight in half and you dont get burnt out, etc.

also I cut down on my gym membership costs!!:bassist:
