everyones selling their wd800?

Love every Mesa amp I've ever played. Whatever they come out with, I'm curious to try, but it's gonna be hard to dethrone the WA-800. I wish they would have just called it the Walkabout II though!

I ‘think’ the “WD” stands for Walk Done.

The original front panel logo name for the WD-800 was in fact the Walkabout (kind of like the Bass 800D on the front panel logo and the Subway BD-800 on the back... the official model name is BD-800).

Here's what it was going to look like, but things changed (it was a little confusing) and the "2 stage tube preamp" was added in its place because this was the first (and only at the time) tube preamp in the previously solid state Subway family.

That is, unless another amp can simulate the sound I get when I push the gain, crank the HPF, boost bass, then pull back the passive mid, all while damping the output.

One reason that led me to purchase my WD was that there were practically none on the used market. That says a lot about a product.

I wonder because, I am appealed to their branding, but I’ve never really dove into the brand like I do Genzler and Mesa; does Bergantino have the same level of interaction with the customer base as Mesa and Genzler do?

I can personally attest to the high level of support from Bergantino. I have a B/Amp and have had incredible support directly from Jim Bergantino. However, I am finding the TT is my current go to head. I am trying to decide on another TT as a backup or a WD800 for a different flavor.
