Everything has improved except....

Wow! Haven't seen that spelling for disc in years. I remember a time when a "disc" pretty much meant a floppy disc, whereas a "disk" was your hard drive.

But both those terms have become pretty much meaningless these days. "Drive" is the now the catchall term for storage.

(Once an IT professional always an IT professional I guess. :blackeye: )
Lol, and I'm pretty sure "discs" won't even be a thing for too much longer but will "drive" even be technically correct? With no moving parts, it doesn't seem accurate.

hi 40Hz :)

It accomplishes its single purpose. ;)

Well...you have to call it something. I'm thinking of referring to it as "George" myself, as in the old radio drama "Let George Do It." As the lead character George Valentine put it: "If the job's too tough for you to handle, you've got a job for me."

Toilet paper!! Do you realize that throughout the ages, toilet paper has not changed at all? Its just paper on a cardboard roll, and in 10,000 years, it will still be the same; because what else can they do? But we now have a problem, there is a shortage!! We need to make a change! What can we do?

Some countries do without toilet paper...

As long as we have water it should be ok. If you don't have a bidet, you'll have a shower next to the toilet, presumably...

Simply take a large plastic tub to a nearby farmer and load up with corn cobs. Eventually your usage will diminish, the supply of toilet paper will stabilize and you’ll be a better, if not stronger, person for the experience. BTW, Mr. Cheese...I like your avatar.

I believe toilet paper began as a hemp product. Then, it went to old-growth wood. And still is old growth wood - consumers prefer the feel of long fibers that only the big old growth trees provide.

So I agree we need a change. We should be making toilet paper with hemp again, which grows long fibers in a short period of time and improves the soil it’s grown in at the same time. Keep our old trees for making us clean air to breathe.
