Can't help with whether it's genuine or not...but man! For that much bread you can sure buy some nice boutique basses...

Looks legit to me. With the exception of the date codes on the pickups and pots (which are not legible on my computer) all critical indicators are consistent with the period.

I'm not saying that the pickup and date codes are incorrect - I just can't read them for validation.

Can anyone else read them?

Is there a reason why you're doubting it? All the correct details are there.
About the pickups; I'm sure if someone were a serious buyer, then the seller would provide better detailed pics of the pencil writing on the pickups. But they sure seem to look like 65 on the last digits to me.

14.6 is sky-high for the most common custom color CBS instrument (white).
With careful shopping you can get a burst 65/66 J and a P for that amount.

No slab boards. Slab boards were made from 59 thru 62. The round lam boards came out during late 62.

I know, my early 61 P has a slab board! I said, I don't see them that much the rounds.

I'm not much help on the authenticity. However, I did just try out a '65 Olympic White Jazz about two months ago at Guitar Center believe it or not. This bass was near perfect down to the original 1965 hang tags. It was not re-fretted and there was no finish damage like the one on the Bay here. Guitar Center was asking $8500.00 for it.
