EWS TriLogic III?

Hello Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has tried out the EWS TriLogic III, or know of any video demos? I'm a huge fan if the BB Preamp, but the lack of mid control is staring to become an annoyance. The new TL has a parametric mid band as well as a high gain setting. Hoping it can produce a bit of dirt.

Thabks :)

Yea I watched a few demos of version II and it seems simply like an eq pedal. Version III has a high gain setting. I'm hoping I can use it a a light OD. They are four weeks away from my closest dealer.

I have one! Just got it last month and I like it a lot. Definitely a transparent pre, which is what I was looking for. I haven't used the high gain setting too much, although if you're looking for a preamp that's going to give you some dirt, I would recommend you look elsewhere, such as at the Rusty Box or Darkglass pedals.

Anybody have more hands on experience with the III?

I've had one for a while, very happy with it. You can do a search for my original post from a few months ago, I go into a fair amount of detail.
It DOES do gain/dirt in the high gain mode and I actually found it quite pleasant and tubey, though I'm using the pedal and a clean post-dirt preamp. Recommended! Doesn't even need 18V to sound good, either.
