Just a little rant. My medical insurance company, United Health Care, are jerks. They are all big on having me quit, until I go try to fill or refill my Chantix prescription. I have found that using Chantix has totally enabled me to quit. I have not had a cigarette since June 30th, and I'm going strong. Of course, having them cover the Chantix prescription was a nightmare. I had to use two other meds first, which totally messed up my stomach, until they finally covered the prescription. Now, after 2 refills, they are saying that they only cover 90 days. I'd feel a lot more comfortable going for another month on it. It's not even been three weeks. So it looks like I'm going to have to pay full price, which is close to $300.00. Well, it's worth it to me. I'll pay the $300 to stay on it for another month. It's cheaper than the 4 cartons of cigarettes I'd have to buy if I were still smoking. And my lungs and singing voice will thank me.
