I cycle 6 days a week. Through the summer its typically a 25 mile mountain bike ride a night after work, then saturday is a day off and sunday is a 3 or 4 hour ride - or alternate weeks we go out on the downhill bikes and shred.

Winter is 5 turbo trainer sessions of an hour during the week and a long ride on sunday.

I've been doing it so long I can't stop. The only time I have off is our annual holidays and injuries. Missed three sessions this week after a hugh crash on sunday but I'm just about to head out for a gentle warm up ride (probably stick to about 2 hours)

I like it because it keeps me fit and healthy - but it also gives me quite a lot of time on my own to think. I make most of my best decisions or lateral jumps when cycling. I also like the mental strength it gives me. I'd guess that 40% of my self belief comes from hard physical exercise - knowing the potential that I have.

And it keeps me fit for bouncing round at gigs.

Damn man. I don't really bike. But I had ridden for a little while a few times. It depends how hard it is, but it can be killer!!!

from the sounds of things, y'all would make some finger-lickin' good meals!

i myself stick to an arm-curl routine:

lift pilsner glass
curl arm
guzzle pilsner

rinse and repeat as needed.

seriously, i haven't done a stitch of exercise in 2 years. totally disgusting, and i'm ashamed, especially since there's a fully-equipped gym right in my building. but i just haven't been of the mindset, and since i get home from work around 11:00 at nite, i'm too pooped.

however, just yesterday i quit my goofy retail job [yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!], and will now have time to workout.

when life is normal, i go to dance classes, lift weights, rollerblade and do some martial arts with my boyfriend, who's quite lethal. i'm also into yoga. even being lazy now, i do stretch and isometric-y type stuff almost every day.

i think i feel more out of shape than i look, but i still would like to be more fit. at 38, you become more aware of your mortality, and the fact that gravity really does work against you.

feh.
