You didn't really think that no one would respond, did you?

Mike

Actually, no one did comment for quite a while. I was more than happy with having my post remain uncommented on (and unmolested).

The reason for my username is precisely that it reflects how I and other music professionals have been made to feel on this site in the past...but I suppose that this is the danger of sanitizing things to the level of the 11 year old mind. You in turn encourage discussion at that very level.

Personally, I can't wait for the next "I just don't see why Jaco is considered so great" post.

Mods, feel free to delete my post, my account, whatever.

Sorry for existing,

Flaming Basshole

You and other music professionals have been made to feel like a-holes on this site because you cannot curse? Unbelievable.

..as opposed to the high level of discourse you're bringing to this particular conversation?:hmm:

Deleting an account is very easy: just stop logging on TB and resist the temptation to post here again. Here's hoping you can resist the urge to post again.

Anyhoo...

Before having my name changed to Blackbird, I went by the name Big Wheel, (which is still my handle at HARMONY CENTRAL). It's what the Payroll clerk at my job at the time used to call me because my name's Will and i'm tall.

Not sure if I posted in this thread already...but

Minger means ugly girl in British English.

Ok, thats not the reason (I'm also a guy :P) Its because my name is Ming, and my coach in gym in like kindergarten just started calling me that and it stuck.

But it really does mean Ugly Girl. British people on Halo are suprised I named my Gamertag that...

My first band at school was called 'Non Ohmic Resistance', made it up in science class. Our first song was called 'Wet Dog in the Rain'.

Just shortened it to nonohmic and been using that as my moniker ever since high school.

(we never got signed by the way, but we rocked!!! (ha ha ha))

In my longest lived and most comparatively successful band, I wrote all out lyrics. The keyboardist and I alternated lead vocals. The guitarist would also sing some. So up to three of us could be talking into a mic at any time between songs.

Somehow this lead to stupid nicknames when we were telling the crowd who we were. I wasn't just the bass player. I was the "Lord of the Low Frequencies." Eric wasn't just the keyboardist. He was "The Chairman of the Boards" Yeah I know. Lame

But then one time, John wanted to point out that I was the lyricist responsible for every word in the set we had jsut done. I had an apartment in the Wedgewood neighborhood of Fort Worth at the time. So he introduced me as "The Bard of Wedgewood" which stuck.

Somehow that became Bardman, which is still occasionally used, to my surprise. When I tried to register here, the computer didn't like Bardman. I had recently heard 'Bad To The Bone'

So I combined Bardman and Bad to the Bone...and named myself Wrong Robot.

But then I saw that one was taken. So I went with Bard2dbone.

clay- first four letters of my last name (clayton)

i used to be bassplayer13, i was 13 when i started playing bass.

i am soon going to change it to either "Max Power" (another simpson reference) or my real name, Bob Clayton
