Exposed core strings

I've noticed that it's hard to get anything but exposed-core strings for my GT7 and I'm not sure that's a good thing. So I'm thinking of installing Hipshot individual through-body bridges so that I can bury the exposed core. :ninja: Is there wisdom/preference on bridge-end exposed core strings (couldn't find it in the FAQ). TY!

???

Isn't that a hipshot A-style bridge? Then there should be string-thru holes if the openings at the top aren't wide enough. But I doubt that putting exposed core strings through the body is a good idea.

There are many strings that are tapered by the ball end without exposing the core.

Also, you could drill the openings at the top wider. I've done that on tuning machines on my guitars since I tune down and use thicker strings.
