Extra wide bass doesn't fit gig bag or case

I don't know where else to post this.

I've done some searching on line, but to no avail.

This old 60s hollowbody bass doesn't fit in its gig bag.

Does anyone know a source?

Measure the dimensions, and call Sweetwater. Obviously that bag was not designed for that bass.

Around where I live there are people who make things like boat covers and such. Maybe someone like that, or an upholster could make one. Take the too small bag and the bass to them and they could make one that fits perfectly.

1. Hard shell case is another option.

I had the same issue with my old Guild bass, too wide for the usual hard shell and Guild no longer makes the correct sized case.

I ended up with generic foam hard shell case from LM Engineering, now known as LM Cases

I have a Kaces III gig bag I got in 2005 that works great for these older hollowbody basses; I used it for my Rick Turner Renaissance and Rickenbacker 4005WB basses that doesn't get much use these days. Try and find one of those, perhaps.
