Eyebrow piercing.

I got both brows pierced, using niobium bead rings at first, then later switching to short steel barbells. It looked badass, but unfortunately they never did heal quite right, so after about a year I eventually ditched them. I think the problem was that I sweat a lot, and I was working in a warehouse, so there was always dirt and sweat trickling in to the upper openings. No way they could heal. Now I have little symmetrical scar spots on my eyebrows!

I went with the ring, and i thought it hurts way more to bump it afterwards than the original piercing. Oh, and re-piercing it after work every day was probably even more painful!

I think the rings are cooler, but if i were to do it again, i might go with a bar at first until it's fully healed, cuz rings are too easy to bump, or get caught on shirts, hats, etc....

for real. i got a ring as well...worst thing was getting it caught in a hoodie.

i still like it, tho'.

I don't really like piercings. To be honest, I don't much like any jewelry. For some reason I feel like the metal is hard and unnatural against a person's skin. Especially when you're trying to (forgive me if this puts things out of hand) kiss, snuggle, rub, basically caress that area in any way. It just feels and looks "wrong" in some way to me. Not saying I have anything against it, I've just seen a lot of people post that they don't like it and nobody has explained why they don't like it.

To be honest, this is something I've been trying to get to the bottom of for a long time. Everyone seems to think I'm weird for disliking jewelry. Sorry to possibly hijack the thread about it though. I'm glad you're happy with your piercing. Be careful not to let it get infected.

No, you're not weird. When I see a piercing, the first thing that occurs to me is either:

1) What a great route for an infection to get into the body, or;

2) Wow, when that catches on something and tears out it's gonna hurt like CRAZY.

Never ever, on anyone, have I thought that they looked good.

No offense to you who have 'em - but that's my response.
