The "fruit destroys belly fat" picture actually serves to make someone think that you lose the belly fat, but it migrates to your lips.
A person would have to be as dumb as a whole box of frogs to be even slightly interested enough to click on any of those ads. But the fact that someone is paying money to advertise suggest that the ads do actually generate some business. Scary, huh?

The ad did EXACTLY what it was intended to do. The only purpose of the graphic (pic) is/was to draw your attention to the words. The more strange the pic is, the more likely you are to read the words because your mind "wants an explanation" of what you just saw.

We have been conditioned to be quick on the trigger finger...I'd wager that 20 people have tried to click on it, if for no other reason that just to see if it works.
