Factory stock unlined fretless?

They are a very good bass for the money.
If you've got any Fender instruments you could always just get a Warmoth neck. That way you'll have a very good fretless for very little money.
-It's OOP, but the ESP/LTC Vintage 204 (relic'ed) and 214 (non-relic'ed) were very nice p-bass clones that both came in an unlined fretless version. Should be able to find one for about 3 bills if you're patient. I put a set of Geezers in mine and loved it until I got my Wendler.
-Used Carvins can be had for around $500-700. The Kiesel/Carvin kit bass went up to $620 but it's a very solid instrument and they don't charge you more for fretless.
-There's a rogue unlined that goes for around $120 but I have no experience with it.
-I forget the exact designation but Aria has a full-hollow that is unlined
-The Godin A4/5 is a fantastic instrument.
-Nearly all Wishbasses are unlined and fretless. Might need a little work, but there are usually a few on ebay for about $300.
Lastly, and best (IMHO) it might be considered "boutique" or custom but for only 1200 bucks Wendler will make you a fantastic Electrocoustic with a neck cut to your preferences! Instruments | Guitar Repair Kansas City | Luthier Acoustic Electric Guitar

Or, custom build a G&L for $1800 and up. But you knew that.

I have a '86 or '87 factory fretless MIJ Fender Jazz, and I gotta say I love her. Except for the color (white, ugh.)
Are you looking for something IN production, and readily available? Something... mmmmmmaaaaayyyybe, OUT of production, and easily accessible? Do You mind waiting around for the RIGHT bass?

I only asked because I was already aware of the Ibanez. Just wanted to know if there were other current production basses like it.
+ 1 to adding a Warmoth or other fretless neck to existing bass. I am quite pleased with the results.

I have both the Ibanez Portamento, which is amazing....and the ESP vintage 214 that you speak of. The ESP was my first bass, it was a good bass, and I still play it, but it is kinda heavy.
I realize that CORT never really gets much respect and truthfully I don't find their designs particularly inspiring to look at. However, whenever I play one they always seem to play well, be made well and sound good.Yep. They're really well-made, too.
Just looked the B4FL up and the Plus versions seem to go for around $450 new.

That's a fantastically good price for a bass with MK1 pups (a very good set of pups), the Markbass Lic. Preamp (definitely going to be better than the old MK1 Pre) wenge neck and Hipshot tuners! It's also probably the only game in town for a naked fretless around 4 bills.
