Was perusing the interwebs today and saw dirt cheap basses that seemed too good to be true. Has anyone heard of or dealt with a website from China called korpva.com? A MIM Jazz should not cost less than a hundred dollars. I'm sure it's a counterfeit Fender, but has anyone tried it anyway? Seems like it might be one of those scams where you get a model and not an instrument.

It's not only a matter of seeming too good to be true that makes going any further a non-starter.

Lack of proximity, no access to verifiable information and lack of potential recourse all scream, 'why even bother?' or 'fugeddaboutit'.

Buying a Chinese bass is a whole different thing than buying a Chinese bass direct from China.

Yeah, you're buying BS bro. But frame it like this. For very little, you have the skeleton of what you're after - just need to load it up with the equipment to match. They're probably a modder's dream due to not having to sink much into them in the event you totally botch it, but not much else.

I'm tempted by the Yamaha TRBX305 for $59. The domain's registration information is available on WHOIS Search, Domain Name, Website, and IP Tools - Who.is, I'm not sure if that makes me more confident, or if it means that some innocent soul in South Carolina has had their domain hijacked.

Information like that is easy to manipulate. Take the location with a HUGE grain of salt.

Never heard of them. Do use your Visa with protection for a site like that for any purchase.

You will end up never receiving the item and they keep the amount under $100 so that there is less of a chance that anyone will pursue them.
