There is a life lesson somewhere in here. Also, only buy from a reputable dealer or trusted individual.
How is this different than Glary? Many folks have received basses and guitars from them for very similar price points.
What tell let people know Glary will ship and instrument vs other similar sites?

I'm not a fan of their business practices, but the Chinese are not stupid. Considering their market is different, and the government owns part (or most of) businesses, they definitely aren't willing to take a loss. It's not just the company, it's the country loosing money. So if it costs X amount to produce a unit in a factory, do not expect anything less than X+Shipping+profit markup = total price. If it is less than this amount (even if you're guessing) there's a problem. Glarry's at least change enough and have their name at the top. So there's that. I'd expect to have lower quality with a scammy add for something claiming to be name brand than an obvious copy like glarry at the same price point. Just my thoughts.

With so many good bargain-priced basses available today, why would you even consider supporting garbage sellers like this?
At least have an honest look at Glarry. I can say a $100-ish Glarry is better than you think. At least it’s real and will get shipped if you order it and it’s playable.
So Anyway, I commit to using 'Rodgered Up' at least once today.
Perhaps no one has Rodgered Up because once we've been scammed, it's not easy to admit it.

You answered your own question as soon as you typed "a website from China". You're likely to get a Chender instead of a Fender.
I have a hard time getting my head around ridiculousy low prices.
What were they made for, under what conditions etc and that is without it being poor quality to boot.
Even with reasonable products made in Indonesia and the like, the bridges and tuners are poor metal which easily strip or dont accurately tune.
And those basses play half reasonable.
Support a better product. imv.

Yeah, I pretty much refuse to buy basses from China.
I'd like to be able to say I refuse to buy anything, PERIOD, from China, but good luck with that in today's world.

Glarry is an actual brand which they put on their headstock. They aren't trying to convince anyone it's a Fender.

What's your point? There's a metric ton of companies marketing Fender Shaped Objects, all of differing quality and price points. It's the most boring market sector imaginable, yet it still inexplicitly draws some people.
My point is what gave the first person to risk buying a Glary? Once they did and reported here and on other social media, it kind of took off.
I am not engaging at all as why a cheap FSO would be desirable - I just see that is the case for a lot of folks. How did Glary build the confidence that they were not a scam? If it’s as simple as an actual brand on the headstock I can accept that, that is a strong point. But then the scammers only need change what they photoshop on the headstock of their fake bass photo.
