OK, uh Ken?, I want an affordable Smith bass!!! Period. Something for the guys who can't chug out $5300 for a 6 string or $8,000+ for a 7, but want to be Smith owners, NOT J bass copy owners, there's a gazillion of them around, hmmm?, maybe a new burner series:D ? I keep thinking about the affordable MTD's, all with different options from the Grendel's to the Kingstons to the Heir's to the KZ models. Those basses do well while all still utilize that great MTD body style. C'mon Ken, you can DO it. AHHHH I can see it now.." the new KSD Burner series....";). The one thing I think this guy Luchi realizes is that your original bass design rocks and the only way to beat guys like this is at their own game. If I think, hey, I'd like a "Smith style bass" a 60's or 70's J with your name on it bass does'nt come to mind. I agree on your pickup statement, however, pickups have always been interchangable and replaceable, If I have a J bass body, I'm pretty much stuck with a J bass body.

You are right, it is not $30, i was wrong!! it is $22, but if you are the only bidder, you can get for $17, and shipping is FREE, and it is already in USA.. so I gues, production cost, is less than what i can possibly imagine...and i should get a clue before post such a high price for production, BTW this guys is also copying a lot of fender shapes... lets get on him too? just take a look yourself.. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-ELECTRIC-GU...9584118QQihZ018QQcategoryZ47074QQcmdZViewItem :rollno:

This isnt wrong because they arent trying to sell it as a Fender. You are wrong because you were falsely trying to sell "Ken Smith" basses that werent Ken Smiths.
