Yeah A.D things are cheaper in the US. Exchange rate is roughly $1.50 = £1.00 so $1200 Am Std would be £800 but it's £1066. Yes we have VAT of 20%
so £960 would be a truer figure. The used market is worse,if a US Fender sells for say $800 (£530) expect to pay £800 ($1200).

It's just one of those things with living in the UK. Worse for those of us who remember more than $2 = £1

As to the Limited Edition basses, these are the only two with P/J pups and four string configuration. There is a 5 string Candy Blue which has not been delivered yet with JJ pups, there is a Algae green 4 string with JJ pups and there is a Candy Blue 5 string P/J.. there will not be any more than these 5 basses made.. These are really rare basses..

Wow. Only 3? That's a tough choice..... Right now, at this moment I'd have to say it's the Lakland Skyline 55-64 with the maple board, the CinCity Customs "Pino" Precision and the Sterling 5.

Now that I know it's a Ripper you're after I'll give you the heads up when I see them OK. The last 2 I'm aware of went for £700 so that's the kinda ballpark figure to expect.

Thank you! It's a great bass..... now. When I first got it I was severely underwhelmed by its tone. Tried different things but eventually swapped the stock electronics for a set of EMG J5s. Now it sounds great!
