Whatever happened to David Clayton-Thomas. Is he still around. I thought he was awesome. Never saw BS&T live though.

Also, I don't know if Peter Cetera has been mentioned, but his vocals on the old Chicago albums were first class!!!

I could but won't repeat the others who have been listed by others.

I would add Clannad to the list of bands with GREAT vocalists. I have seen them live, what a show.

LOOOOVE Clannad! It's funny, I actually just recommended them a few days ago to my vocalist's daughter for a school project. She needed a band that sang in a language other than English. "O Cade Sin" (can't do the accents right) is one of my favorite songs of all time. I used to be able to sing along with it... but I have/had no clue what I was saying.

I don't know if she has been mentioned yet, but Pat Benatar had a terrific voice (actually, she and her eventual husband Neil Geraldo on guitar have had a band together since the In the Heat of the Night album in 1979)

Tremendous pipes, but also a rock solid live work horse night after night after night.
No wimping out on the "big" notes, always on the money; kinda like Robin Zander.

The one time I saw KISS I was actually impressed w/ Paul Stanley's singing ability. He can hit some high notes, man. I don't love KISS, but that dude can sing... At least he could that night.

Oh and Skid Row/Sebasitan Bach.

I agree with Paul Stanley the first few times I saw him, but when I saw them last year, I couldn't believe how bad he sounded. No range at all, flat, off key and screeching. I actually felt sorry for him. I have a recording of it that is so bad that when my drummer heard all he could day was "that poor bast*rd.

DCT lives in Toronto and does gigs, mostly in Canada, has released a few blues albums. He is in his late 60s and is doin his thing....
Unfortunately, he has alienated some folks in the business along the way, the stories are legendary and I leave it at that.

He sure does sing!

Yep, LaCroix was in the band for a while, as was Jerry Fisher. Both great raspy, bluesy singers.

BTW, some may know this, but Jaco and Mike Stern were also part of BS&T for a while. FWIW.
