Bobby Vega. There was a Bass Player article a few years ago about how he subbed for Rocco in Tower of Power, playing those parts with a pick.

Yeah, Bobby plays the best funk I've ever heard with a pick. I wouldn't have know if I hadn't seen him live.

The thing about Berlin is that he was born without a tact filter. He talks straight out of his ass. He's a monster player, but his tendency to spout babel has kept me from digging him a lot more than I would otherwise.

Now THAT is an accurate comment.

Arguably the best BP on the planet Anthony Jackson uses a pick a lot.

He used a pick for at least one song on Octavarium and has stated in the past that he wished he took more time to develop his picking technique.

A lot of hard rock and heavy metal musicians used picks because you get that hardcore, scratchy tone. Some people can also play faster if they have a pick. I remember when Metallica covered "Iron Man" when Black Sabbath was added to the rock n' roll hall of fame. Robert Trujillo, who normally plays with his fingers, switched to a pick so he could hit those fast sixteenth notes near the final part of the song.
