Famous six string players?

Didden' the bass player for dave mason play a 6 string of some kind? If you watch a video on youtube where he performs "we just disagree" live,the bass player is playing 6 string bass. As to how famous he is that I don't know. anyone here know who he is/was? Wasen't he from mason's band traffic?

JoJo Garza of Los Lonely Boys - and I can't tell you how much I appreciate the fact that he plays the instrument like a bassist instead of a darned guitarist!
i think Stefan Fimmers of Necrophagist uses a 6 string. hes not that famous but hes really good.
Not AS famous, but the bassist from Karnivool plays a 6, IMO he's one of the most 'in the pocket' contemporary metal/rock bassist around. Check out Sewn & Silent and Roquefort, great bass grooves in both.
ok I know this is a really old thread but I'm surprised that nobody mentioned David Goodier from Jethro Tull. the you tubes of him playing the solo from Bouree are amazing. Compare this to cover versions using 4 strings and you will see why to use a 6 string.
