Fav Studio Nearfield Monitors???

I'm using M-Audio SP 8B's and have gotten used to how to work with them. If I had my choice, I'd use the Mackie 824's, since my fav studio and engineer uses them and I know how they translate. I think most of monitoring is knowing your room, and knowing how mixes will translate onto different systems, then finding a happy medium.

Wharfdale Diamond 8.1 pro-actives. Best deal for the money (about $500/pair) going, I think. Although it really is what you're used to using. I used to get halfway-decent mixes off of a $30 pair of Panasonic 'phones just by adjusting a mix to compensate. I wouldn't want to go back to doing it that way, though.
