yes i find it necessary to boost the highs in my room which is at ground level. the bass is also fine however when i play upstairs. i have less bass and and my mids and highs seem to prevail. so they must be cut.

Current setup:
Ampeg BA115
Speaker style set to 4x10 style. Then everything flat, perhaps boosting bass and mids. If slapping I'll dial back those mids and replace with a slight boost in treble. But everything is either flat, or close to it, being mildly boosted.
