Fave song intro?

Got any?

After all these years I still get goose bumps from "I'm A Man" (Spencer Davis Group '66)

Well, of course, your post reminds me of Chicago & their great debut album...so-
"Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is"
...the intro is a freeform piano piece by Robert Lamm & then BAM! the band/horns kick in at 1:15.

"Tear the Roof Off the Sucker" and "Flash Light" - Parliament
"Hollywood Swinging" and "Spirit of the Boogie" - Kool and the Gang
"Shining Star" - Earth, Wind and Fire
"My Thang" - James Brown
"Bootzilla" and "Hollywood Squares" - Bootsy's Rubber Band
"In The Mood" - Glenn Miller Band

No way to think of them all, but a few jumped into my mind:

Berry Oakley's crunching bass line to kick off "Whipping Post".
Chas Chandler's bass kicking off "We Gotta' Get Outta' This Place".
John Deacon's "Another One Bites the Dust".
Roger Waters "Money" bassline after the cash registers finish.

I was gonna mention that one, too...I bought Fragile based solely on its cover. I had never heard of Yes at the time. I was blown away by the opening track. Looking back, glad I stuck around through the entire intro.
:)

The bass intro to "You're So Vain" gets mentioned every so often around here.

Some good ones mentioned so far

These are the first songs that came to mind

Derek & The Dominoes - Layla
Sugarloaf - Green Eyed Lady
The Raspberries - Go All The Way
Pink Floyd - Money
Steely Dan - Reelin' In The Years
Boston - Foreplay/Long Time
Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath

The first ones that popped into my head are:
- Hard Day's Night (can't get much simpler than that, but it sets the stage perfectly for the song!)
- The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (LOVE that piano!)
- Aqualung (talk about iconic)
- Owner of a lonely Heart (Not among my favorite Yes songs and after that cool intro I think it's kinda "meh")
- Money For Nothing (see my comment for Owner of a Lonely Heart)
