Just checking in with other Lakland 44-02 owners to see what your favorite setting of the tone controls are. I have been experimenting quite a bit lately and finding some nice tones. Thanks for your input.

Favorite 44-02 Settings and Why?

My go to: 3 active coils, blend centered, preamp flat. Love this sound, just works for me!
Some others that aren't so obvious:
Bridge coil selected, blend slightly favoring the neck pickup.
Neck coil selected, blend slightly favoring the bridge pickup.
Don't use the preamp for tone shaping all that often

I have two "go-to" settings on my LH3-equipped Lakland:
- bridge pu set to bridge coil only, blend set 50/50
- bridge pu set to both coils, blend set 25/75 (favoring bridge pu)
In both cases I usually give the Bass control an ever-so-slight tweak above the detent, and the Midrange control (set to 600Hz) an ever-so-slight tweak below the detent. Treble almost always at the detent, or sometimes fully ccw.
