Wren and Cuff Super Russian, so good it’s the only dirt on my board anymore.
The fuzz built in on the Justin Chancellor Wah Pedal... is much better than expected. I've been using it quite a bit.
I tried only a handful, but Diabolik always makes me happy!
I grabbed one of these at least a couple years ago and I know that I'll likely never get rid of it. Perma-grin inducing sounds. A magical recipe of warm-and-heavy that goes up to eleven!!
I can add that although I'm not historically any sort of effects heavy, I'm loving the occasional adventure more and more these days. One gizmo that's giving me a little bit of an education with this drive and that modulation, etc. is the HX One. I bring it up here just because this box is packed with a number of different fuzz options - way more than just three or four. It's going to take me a while to get to use several of the different things this Swiss Army Knife can do, but I really like that even though it does pretty much only one thing at a time, it serves up a really broad menu.
It depends on what sound I am looking for, more or less fizzy vs mids vs width of sawtooth...perhaps from origin of circuit (which one) superfuzz vs rat vs tube screamer vs tone bender etc etc.
Among my contestants- Zevex Mastrotron, Wholly Mammoth clone (I have a few Joyo Fog aint bad) small run but the best for Doom: MXR Brown Acid (low end sustain) Small Sound Big Sound TAFM or Buzzz (a superfuzz type has an eq for low end) DOD Caracosa has been mentioned, Pharoah would be my Muff type, EQD Fuzz Master General and the newest still being analyzed Grit Spitter and Frost Giant Soma, both self oscillating sputter/starve pedals (for lead lines not chords)

I’ve been waiting for a used one but found a new B stock over the weekend, still in the mail. Also, Mtl Asm Your/You’re in the mail.
I like sputtery, starved, splatting fuzz and my fav is probably a Shoe Pixel clone I made. Broughton Calamity for muff style.

Have fun! I'm still looking for the right config.; the dials seem to be arbitrary ha ha, labeled shape/body/bias/attack and starve, actually just turn them until you like the sound plus where in order is it most stable, first, later in line etc., do you want it to oscillate as soon as you hit the switch... but it seems to change day by day and with different basses...
It’s a 2-way tie:
- for practical, versatile, eminently usable but still awesome fuzz/overdrive/distortion sounds, the Damnation Audio MBD-1 rules!
- but for weird, idiosyncratic, caterwauling, yowling fuzz, there is nothing like the original (circa 1970s) Electro-Harmonix Talking Pedal!

To name one it would be the Source Audio Aftershock even though I have about 30+ others on various boards and the shelf.
Currently, the EQD Fuzz Master General for octave fuzz and the Hiwatt Filter Fuzz for everything else. My go-to will always be my Russian Pickle Smalls.
