ousepad materiaIn all honesty my favourite 'gadget' (not a pedal or processor) is a couple of strips of neoprene mouse mat which I wedge under my strings for a mute sound. I bought the mouse mat in the '90s for £1 and haven't used it much since, so it comes in quite a lot cheaper than the bassmute and does the same job. And I don't have to glue it to my bass.
I highly recommend mouse mats, everbody.
I have a Hercules clone stand I use with my Mandobird for that reason--shaped like the Firebird/Thunderbird--just smaller--electric solidbody mandolin.Hercules ‘hanging’ stands, the three-banger especially. Solves all the problems associated with offset, T-Bird, and any other oddybody designs.
