My personal favorite is LowEndLobster. She's entertaining to watch, her playing style is interesting, and the claw thing cracks me up every time.
Charles Berthoud is a close second.

so many can’t say anything bad about even a very problematic bass.

None of them. Either it's an infomercial, or one more guy with more chops than a NAMM Show demonstrator after 6 Red Bulls that has nothing to do with what I play or would want to play.

I've learned far more about bass playing and bass repair and setup by a pretty good Toronto player and super experienced Toronto repairman:

Beholden To The Riff is the main bass channel I watch, as it's most relevant to my interests (song specific lessons/how to, with scattered other bits for beginner/intermediate) . Though I do sometimes check out The Bass Channel and Bass Buzz. Otherwise I check stuff out as I need/get curious. I don't really watch much in the way of reviews or anything until I'm actively looking for something.
