This is not a Christmas song, but rather, a winter song.

My fave is Andy Williams' "It's the most wonderful time of the year". I don't really Like Christmas Music at all but this one makes me crank it up every time.
Some might consider it cheesy, corny, and dated but this is a very legit, well crafted song.
Several reasons:
It is a GREAT song.
The BPM is perfect. It makes the song "airlift" (my personal terminology) meaning it cruises at a lovely pace.
His singing is impeccable, as is his phrasing and enunciation. It sounds effortless.
His voice is about as clean and clear as it can get.
The song itself is so well written and arranged. Lots of hooks, twists and turns.
The orchestration is lush.
The analog recording/mix is flawless.
It makes the rest of the schlock and drivel sound exactly like what it is: schlock and drivel.
Just my 2 cents worth.

“What Child is This?” is my long-standing favorite.
I also like “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” due to it’s depressing backstory that simultaneously communicates the importance of the season.
JD McPherson’s “Socks” album has some gems on it.
