Recently I've been thinking about purchasing a hardwire distortion pedal once again. either the sc-2 once again because I do like how this pedal sounded on bass or the tl-2 mainly because I'm curious on how this pedal sounded on bass. either one, I would like to buy a hardwire distortion pedal once again. and perhaps sometime in the future, I would like to purchase a hardwire cr-7 stereo chorus pedal. I did have a chance to hear how this pedal sounded on bass and I would say it sounds real smooth and lushful. here's the clip of the cr-7 in case any one is wondering how it sounds on bass.

I'm guessing I may of brung up a zombie thread. but it's a zombie thread worth bringing back because some of us likes digitech and hardwire pedals. also I bring up this song whenever anyone brings up a zombie thread.

I had the TL-2 for a while. It was like a much better Metal Zone, and it kept the low end on bass. However, it was eventually replaced by my Empress Heavy.

I recently pulled my boutique reverbs from my boards and replaced them with The Supernatural and RV-7... they are great pedals that can compete with any digital reverbs out there.... and the RV-7 I found for $60. How can you beat that!

Id have to say out of the CM2, DL8 and BSW, I love the DL8 the most. The CM2 rocked but I found other dirts that suited my needs more. The DL8 has been on my board for over a year now and I really dig it. Its my answer to not having the DL4. I really like what Hardwire has done with their pedals. They weight a friggen ton but I can deal with that. Ive always been a fan of DOD so that in turn makes me a fan of DigiTech and Hardwire. Great company.

CM-2 is one of the best sounding overdrives, especially for a P bass, IMHO.

I was kinda curious about the hardwire tl-2. since you've mentioned that it's comparable to a boss metal zone, I think I would dig how this pedal sound. I created a patch on my zoom b3 that combines a blended metal zone model through an ampeg svt model and I would say that it is the best distortion sound I ever created. anywho, I would like to test out the tl-2 on bass. purhaps sometime I'll purchase one and put it to the test. I trust that this pedal would give me a killer sound on my bass.

I've owned a BSW(twice), Whammy 4, XP-100 whammy wah, and the Digiverb. I've liked them all quite a bit. The only one I still have is the BSW and I had planned on getting a bass whammy but I haven't done it yet. I miss having a whammy.

I've had the BSW, JamMan Solo, Bad Monkey (twice) and the BassDriver (still have). Like them all. Preferred the BSW, with the BD close second.

I have a c m 2 which is incredible. I had a bass synth wah, a chorus and the bass driver, but they evaporated into gas... The c m 2 stays. P bass,and a boss blender and it sounds perfect. Also have a valve distortion, also perfect. One of Those two pedals is on, 99% of the time. Have a metal distortion too, which can do a pretty mean rat impersonation IMO .

Really...the tl-2 metal distortion can do a proco rat sound. that's cool. I was thinking about purchasing the tl-2 mainly out of curiosity. my other choice would be the sc-2 valve distortion. I do like how that pedal sounded on bass.

It's not perfect, but in the less "bassy" mode it can get the rat style grind... I also use a blender with it . The metal distortion is fun, but the valve and the c m 2 are the real deal!

I'll bet that it is fun. so it can do a rat style grind on tight mode, huh...that's cool. Adamyxoye told me that this pedal works well on bass when it's in loose mode. that's something that got me curious about the tl-2. other than that, I would like to purchase a hardwire distortion pedal once again. rather if it's the sc-2 or the tl-2.

I see that you got the bad monkey on your pedalboard. I've been hearing that this pedal sounds great on bass just like the hardwire cm-2. I once spotted someone demoing the screaming blues pedal on bass and it's got some pretty cool sound. here's the clip of that pedal.

I preferred the TL-2 in "loose" mode on bass and "tight" mode on guitar. But the bass knob has plenty of room to boost the bass in either mode.

Thanks for the quote. The Bad Monkey is used for the treble strings on the Stick. It feeds a Kittyhawk Quattro tube preamp, which has 4 channels ('Clean', 'Crunch', 'Overdrive' and 'Overdrive Hot') controlled by the black footswitch next to the Monkey. Between the Monkey and the Quattro I have 8 settings from sparkly clean Fender Deluxe/Twin through JC120 warmth, Vox/Marshall crunch to Dumble/Engl madness. At the time I got the Monkey I was debating between that and the Screamin' Blues. As it happened the store I went to had the BM used for £10.00 - no contest.
I really like the amp sims on the Vox boxes, in particular the clean ones with the Stick. I also like the Envelope Filter. I've always tried to keep drive to a minimum on bass, be it Stick or BG. I will check out your thread on the SL1B as I have a need for a slight crunch/warm sound on the bass but have not started exploring yet. Thanks for the perfectly timed steer and if I get anything nice I'll post it back there.

Yeah the loose mode is definitely more bassy and the other is more grindy. I wish the gain was a bit lower but it's a great aggressive pedal
