Favorite Effect Class?

I went with Chorus. I love mine. I'm looking into distortion and stuff. What's the difference between overdrive and distortion?

i put other, because the only ones i dont use are wah and phaser. im not not big on chorus either, as i prefer flangers. theres no way i can pick just one.

my favorite is envelope filter. but i voted for Overdrive for it is the effect i use often than my filter.

I love chorus, flanger and phaser equally, and I love my Bass Murf the same amount, so I picked "other modulation".

I voted for filters. I love filters, I could have a whole board of them. next would be phasers, and then compression which is really more of a tool then an effect but I never turn my Diamond comp off so it is pretty essential.
I currently own a Groove regulator, Robotalk2, Bass Auto Q and a 105Q wah, and I still lust for more filters!

i voted fuzz because it's the only one i use frequently, though Overdrive would be a close second i suppose. As far as fun effects go, i think i'd go with vibrato... phase is too funky, flanger is too much most of the time, chorus is cool but often too '80s sounding, delay and verb usually annoy me on bass, but vibrato has something special with the sweet warbly underwater pitch-shifty magicalness.

Well, I played a 13 song set last week. One song used a filter, two used OD, and 11 used compression. Most used is compression by a land slide these days.

Well folks, the results are in.

Coming in seventeenth and last place is Other Dirt, which was composed of solely OriginalClash. I would still describe his preference as a very mild overdrive, but I am not about to modify the votes.
16: Other Other.
15-14: Other Modulation/Wah.
13: Looping.
12-8: Carrots/Pitch/Distortion/Phaser/Preamp.
7: Synth Box.
6: Compression.
5-4: Delay-Reverb/Chorus-Flange. This probably wasn't fair, if ever there is a reboot, I will split these up.
3: Filter/Autowah.
2: Overdrive.
And the most popular/used effect for TBers who use effects is, fuzzroll please.....................................

Oh wait. I gave it away already.

On the next one, Tremolo and Ring Modulation will be included. Chorus and Flanger will be split.
