While I find overblown narcissistic gratuitous slapping annoying, Mohini Dey intrigues me as she has done something novel and original with it, incorporating tabla rhythms and other elements of her culture.

But my under-the-radar pick is Argentinian Cristina de Leonardo, cruise ship queen and provider of countless YT instructional tutorials, impressive and tasteful slapping technique, and a funky drummer as well..
