Well for me I like Haggen Dazz (or however you spell it. And Baskin Robbin's is good too. My favorite flavor is strawberry, but I can never find a strawberry ice cream without little chunks of actual strawberries! I hate it! If I wanted to eat a strawberry, I'd go buy a fresh one instead of eating one thats been squished, processed, and encased by a frozen liquid for a month. Vanilla is good too. Not a big chocolate man. Thoughts?

Over the last couple of years I've been won over by the house brand of a Texas chain of grocery stores, HEB. It's a great store that supports Texas farmers and producers as much as possible. Anyway, they have this Creamy Creations ice cream brand that is awesome. The Caramel Pecan Turtle kills. They have cool seasonal flavors too. Like right after peanut season they buy a bunch of peanuts from farmers down in the Floresville area and make a Floresville Tin Roof with extra peanuts. After the strawberry season they make a special strawberry flavor etc...

You beat me to it, you jerk. :spit:

I like the banana nut and the barbacoa flavors....

Russian, really, milk we use is like 499321% fat, it’s so good, heart attack after each cup! Closest to Russian ice cream I ever gotten was small place near where we hunt/camp/off-road.

But the best ever is what me and my grandfather used to make, I miss that:( we had to hand crank it for like 4+ hours out side in cold in the snow. Ever 10minutes or so we would stuff the barrel with more snow. And milk/eggs/etc we used came right from our chicken and naighbors cows and stuff. :) Then after being almost frozen ourselves we would eat ice cream. Especially good part was licking it off the metal thingy that would turn it.

Its funny when i was driving home drinking a milk shake i was thinking "i should start a ice cream thread".

Good call on the Turtle's flavour.

Skor is really good too!

Recently I've discovered a new flavour called "Polar Paws". It's white chocolate ice cream, with ribbons of strawberry. Also in the ice cream are white chocolate truffles with raspberry filling.

Then there's the classic Rocky Roads! Love them marshmellows!

What about Marianne's?! That's some good stuff...don't tell me you've lived in Santa Cruz and never been to Marianne's! I love their caramel malt ball and the fudge brownie.

Remember where it's at? I’ll be in Santa Cruz next week. :)

I never lived in Santa Cruz, I just got buddies there and I driver over the hill a lot to visit. I applied to UCSC (but got denied because I got sick and failed 2 classes I needed to complete to get in. :( ) So now I have to wait until next year to start going there. Not a bad thing since i really need money so i can start working full time + lots of over time while waiting till next spring quarter.
