This video takes me back to the infinite potential of the summer after high school, and my freshman year in college, flowing freely on my longboard, and having the serious hots for a real, genuine Southern California cheerleader. Nothing ever happened, but ask me about the rollerblade chick in the sauna:
Speaking of high school, this song came out in 03, which would've been right around sophomore year. Sadly, strangely, I've just discovered it because I was too busy turning up my nose at music I didn't approve of. I missed out on a LOT of good music because I refused to listen to it:
But man, my mind BLEW when I first heard this one. B. L. E. W. Brain and skull fragments all over the wall. "You can't put this on a country station," I said. I was wrong. I saw the video on CMT and got so incredibly stoked on the fact that these two guys were singing, mostly tongue-in-cheek, about parties and being horny bastards (see the hidden verse on the album cut), and that they were old and washed up. No longer would Mark Chestnutt singing about "Too hot to fish and too hot for golf," or Tracy Byrd singing "That's the truth about men," or other regular guy songs do it for me...Man, I was hooked on the ludicrosity of B&R and their Muzik Mafia:

Of course, I'm a Texan (an expat in Tennessee), and one of the requirements of maintaining my Texas citizenship entails a number of hours face down in brisket, TexMex, and Chicken-Fried Steak, wearing my Tony Lamas with pegged Wranglers, and a number of hours with George Strait, Hank Thompson, and of course, the mighty, mighty Asleep at the Wheel: Got to have Texas Swing, like this:
