Favorite Rythym Section

Sly Dunbar & Robbie Shakespeare aka Sly & Robbie.

If you havent heard 'em check out Bob Dylan's Infidels album.
Or...any Black Uhuru album, lotsa Grace Jones, Joe Cocker's Sheffield Steel and many of their own recordings.

These guys are it, in my opinion, humble as it may be...or not :D

Abe Laboriel and Vinnie Colaiuta- Abe Laboriel & Friends

Adam Nitti and Will Denton
Larry Graham and Greg Errico

I've seen Bill Bruford's name mentioned a lot, but I think my favorite bassist with him was Jeff Berlin...not to take anything away from Tony or John Wetton (that would be foolish) I saw Bill & Jeff together a few times and left thinking that I had seen the best.

Carl Radle & Jim Gordon or Jim Keltner was a fine matchup too...jeez there's so many great rythm sections, it's tough.

My favorite 3:
Jones and Bonham
Chuck Rainey and Bernard Purdie
Ron Carter and Tony Williams
