I've long been partial to the great UK folk-rock rhythm sections:

Dave Mattacks or Gerry Conway on drums, Dave Pegg or Pat Donaldson on bass.

I was lucky enough to have gig with Dave Mattacks once. Always fun to get to play with your idols

He even recommended me to another bandleader, that totally floored me
